Yeet the Rich
If a billionaire donates money to a good cause, does that make them a good person? Hosts Emily Walsh and Daniel Moss are two married millennials who learned about financial crises by living through them, and now they’re diving into the wild world of the uber rich. They discuss financial crimes, the breakdown of the American dream, and why funding a museum doesn’t necessarily make you a good person. They get into the old timey rich, like the Rockafeller family, and current events, like why you might not want to shop at Walmart. Each week they’ll dive into a new wealthy person, give you the rundown on their lives, whatever “good things” they’ve done in the past, and why they might be a bummer.

Don't be ashamed if you get confused when you talk to your fans or you watch the news. They try to tell you where it all went wrong. Now you don't need to argue, you just sing this song. Rich people stacking the dick. Rich people with big fat chicks. Rich people to have in the bar. Rich people.
SPEAKER_01Hey everybody, and welcome to Eat the Rich. You might have noticed that this episode doesn't have much of a description and it's only a few minutes long. We are taking a little summer hiatus, everybody. We're taking a little, we're taking two weeks off. We uh life happened, you guys. Life happened. We actually we we sat down to record this week's episode at literally 3 a.m. Uh our daughter just doesn't, she's not into sleep right now. And we were like, okay, one of us will sleep, we'll take shifts. We literally we woke up at 3 a.m. We sat down, we recorded maybe three minutes of it, and then uh she was up again. So sorry about that. And if you guys are the type of listeners that are not here for beverage and baby catch up round, apologies. We're moving on right now. But yeah, we will be back July 7th. We're just giving ourselves a second to kind of catch up and so we can try to keep this release schedule for you guys. We won't have any more breaks like this if we can just get ahead a little bit. So that is our goal, and we'll be back on the 7th with the last episode about Henrietta Lax, and then we will go straight into my series on the potato famine. So get excited because that's you know a fun, sexy topic. But it is wild, it is crazy, it is something that I didn't know much about other than there weren't enough potatoes. But we will talk about that in a couple weeks. And if you're one of our new listeners, welcome. This really doesn't happen. We really don't take breaks like this. We've just had a couple big life hits, one after another after another, and uh we're just trying to we're trying to get back to you, we're trying to make you the best possible show we can. But in the meantime, if you're brand new, go back a few episodes. Listen to Floriana Island season episodes. There's five of them, I think. There we're talking about a fake baroness and people trying to start a utopia on an island. There's murder, there's intrigue. We talked about Chappaquitic when Ted Kennedy committed vehicular homicide. And, you know, we got a series on P.T. Barnum and all the crazy stuff he was up to. We got BP Oil, we all love that. There was a whole series on the Spinach King, this guy that uh his whole family built this crazy Empire of Cream Spinach and got involved in all sorts of union breaking, all sorts of stuff like that. We've got a season on the college admission scandal. We've talking about King Leopold, Lulularo. We got we got everything you're looking for in this backlog. There's practically three years of episodes, so please uh check those out. And to all you new listeners, we're so happy to have you. Please keep listening. We really, again, we don't take breaks like this. We're very annoying overachievers. We just um have gotten a little caught up with life, but we're excited to keep bringing more episodes, take a little break, enjoy the summer sunshine, and we will be back July 7th. Bye.
